Project Open Hand is thrilled to continue our longstanding relationship with Ghirardelli Square. For almost 15 years, POH has been the beneficiary of the Ghirardelli Square Chocolate Festival and over $500,000 has been raised for Project Open Hand’s food and nutrition services—a huge milestone for this marquis San Francisco event. Over the years, a total of 400,000 attendees have enjoyed chocolate delicacies, 325 vendors have sampled their chocolate delights, and over 3,250 people have volunteered for this premier event. POH is so very thankful for the wonderful partnership we have with Ghirardelli Square! And we encourage all of our supporters to visit the new Ghirardelli Square.

Ghirardelli Square’s transformation into an urban enclave of high-end retail, fine dining restaurants, artisanal food markets, wine tasting, a luxury spa and the highly anticipated private residence club Fairmont Heritage Place, Ghirardelli Square, has been unveiled throughout 2008. Gary Danko and Willow Stream Spa are expected to open during the Summer of 2009. Go check out all of the changes at the Square today!
