Each year, Project Open Hand surveys Community Nutrition Program (CNP) clients in an annual Consumer Satisfaction survey - and this past fiscal year, nearly 600 participants responded!
Here's what they had to say:
- 98% say they feel safe and welcomed by Project Open Hand's CNP staff
- 97% of clients said they eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains because of our meals
- 95% of clients worry less about having enough food
- 94% say they can live more independently with access to our meals
- 93% say the quality of our meals are excellent or good
- 92% say they feel less isolated and/or more connected to community through Project Open Hand
Our Community Nutrition Program serves older adults who are 60 years or older and adults living with disabilities. Warm, nutritious meals are provided at eleven community center locations across San Francisco. In fiscal year 2023, we served more than 5,500 people at CNP sites.
Thank you to our incredible donors who continue to help our clients in their health journey, ensuring that there is a safe, welcoming, and nutritious space for them at Project Open Hand.
