This peach applesauce is so sweet and delicious, you won't miss the sugar. Swap peaches out for your favorite stone fruits— apricots, plums, pluots— for endless variations.
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- 2 peaches
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- water
Directions
- Wash the produce. Peel apples and peaches, then roughly chop into 1/4 inch cubes.
- On the stovetop, bring a pot with a 1/4 cup water to medium-high heat.
- Add apples and peaches to the pot.
- Cook for about 15 minutes until fruit begins to soften.
- Add cinnamon and cook a minute or two longer.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Using a blender (immersion or normal), blend until smooth. Alternatively, use a potato masher or the back of a fork for a chunkier sauce.
- Place in the fridge until cool. Enjoy!
Try serving with granola trail mix or granola cereal for some crunch.
